Slaughter wasn't ever the top guy in the E and Hogan did it well after his actual prime run as the number 1 guy in the business.

Cena is somewhere around 92-93 Hogan territory now. This could actually be the best time for him to start that slow turn :ehh:.

wow could you imagine if vince really had the wits to turn hogan heel in 92-93? assuming hogan played along that could have been insanely huge.

he could have really made bret too.:ehh:

He's almost 40 years old. Any opportunities to turn heel are gone at this point.
Hogan turned 43 a month after BATB and was well past his prime. Barring a major injury, Cena still has time (obviously not much though). My concern is the opportunity since there's nobody active that would be big enough to waste it on.

The only way I could have seen a heel turn was if it was against Daniel bryan, cm punk, undertaker, or the Rock.

Daniel is retired, Cm punk wants nothing to do with wrestling and the wwe, missed his chance with the rock fued, and undertaker is 99% done.

With Cena becoming less involved in wrestling and more involved with the acting roles, it'll never happen.

I'm 100% sure the plan was for Cena to pass the torch to Roman and do the turn against him. Once WWE gets the real top guy, they'll do it

Hulk was 43 at the time of his heel turn. Andre was 41. Sarge was 43. Bret was 40. I don't think there is a need to turn Cena heel, as it will only appeal to a portion of the audience that has hated him for 10 years anyway, but age shouldn't be a reason NOT to do it.

Imagine someone thinking Flair was done in 1989 lol

Cena doesn't really have much motivation right now. With all of his outside projects going on, his drive isn't on the level of Hogan or Flair back then when they were around 40.
