Most people have never even sat down and read that Bible from front to back like a book...Wether you believe The Bible is the word of God or not doesnt take away from the fact that The Bible is one of the best pieces of literature in human history. With that said...Samuel 1 & 2 and Kings 1 &2 are 4 books that breakdown the role of the kings. The king is supposed to lead the people in righteousness. If the king is righteous then the people will be righteous and God will bless Isreal. If the king does evil in the sight of God then he will cause the people to do evil and invoke Gods wrath. Well guess what...out of 42 kings in Isreal(including Judah) only 8 were righteous.
. So because there were more evil leaders then righteous God eventually destroyed Isreal and the monarchy. Now if this formula is real then it would explain why certain leaders throughout world history have risen and fallen. (Like for instance....Once can conclude that when Ancient Egypt went thru a drought it was similiar to when Isreal went thru a drought....The King wasn't moving right so God punished the land)
- 80's Hip Hop, Stagnant at first with its blessing because 70's Hip Hop revolved around playful folly to the point even Marly Marl said he didnt think Hip Hop would last because a lot of the early 80's stuff was wack. But by the late 80's Hip Hop brought back Black consciousness to the youth on a level that hadnt been seen since the 60's. And so because of that the 90's was blessed as the golden decade.
- 90's Hip Hop, entered with consciousness but gradually fell to evil towards the end courtesy of beefs that got out of hand, materialism and wreckless irresponsible talk on the mic. Lauryn Hill was the saving grace at the end of the 90's which at the time was oversaturated with wickedness and folly while the righteousness was eh!. In the 90's their was a balance between righteousness and unrighteousness
2000's Hip Hop. The evil started to outweight the righteousness(similar to the monarchy of Isreal) and as we enetred the 2010's so began the manifestation of the saying:
(
Matthew 19:30)
“But many who are first will be last, and many who are last will be first”
and now we are feeling the effects of the wickedness of the last decade the same way Isreal felt the effects of its wickedness before it fell.... 1) mediocre rappers are now the top dogs while lyricists are reduced to the underground. 2) The mecca(NYC) because of its wickedness was no longer the frontlines of Hip Hop. God now gave it to the south which at one point was on NYC's heel(Similiar to when Babylon took over Isreal) and now 3) one of the founders of Hip Hop, Afrikka Bambatta who once represented a beautiful image of turning gang activity into entertainment and culture has now had his brand destroyed by scandle.
Keep in mind, this is all theory based on the formula from the Bible which breaks down the effects of gradual righteousness and wickedness amongst a group. Its just a thought.
