Lebron gets a lot of hate from people because he doesn't win every single Finals he's been in, but I think most people lose sight of just how difficult it is to even get there.

A lot of superstars never reach it at all.
And this dude is on the brink of 7 straight.

Has that even been done in the last 30 years? That's some Bill Russell type shyt.

:dwillhuh:

I know some will chime in with old excuses like "bbbbut the East is trash"....
Yall never say that shyt about Tom Brady and the AFC East tho. :beli:

People take into account how difficult it is, just physically, to stay healthy during this entire time. Almost every single "all star" Lebron has played with in the past 6 years has dealt with some injury during one of the playoff runs.

No matter what, Lebron doesn't bend. He's pretty underrated. He makes the amazing seem mundane.

Matter of fact just 2 of the last 6 years (2011-2016 playoffs) he's gone through the playoffs with his team staying healthy.

We've reached the point where there's only 3 good teams in the entire conference now, and one of them has made just one playoff trip from 2003-16 so they have next to no playoff experience. The rest of the afc east should be contracted, as should the entire afc south, the chargers and browns and bengals are a joke, and the ravens has a horrid coaching staff, while the broncos don't have a quarterback. There are only two teams in the entire conference we can definitively say have both a good coach and a good quarterback. The last good team they faced in the divisional round or before was in 2010 against the jets.

Is the East still trash if all Lebrons playoff series go 7 and no sweeps? Give LeBron every accomplishment he has currently, but the series were just more competitive.

Or better yet what if there was no Lebron the last 7 seasons to dominate the East? Would they still be trash?

It's an amazing feat, but over time it gets diminished because it's not actually WINNING the whole enchilada.

Just look at how history looks at the Buffalo Bills. I mean, I would argue that going to four straight Super Bowls is more difficult than going to consecutive Finals appearances...just due to the nature and makeup of football. And history craps all over those Bills because they never actually won it... which diminishes the fact that they went to four straight and truly disrespects what they accomplished from a historical perspective, but that's the reality of it. :manny:
