Just Win Baby
This trade would be a Win-Win for the Cavs. They get a nice core that may contend in a few years if they can pick up a nice wing. They also help build a team in the Lakers that can go at the Heat for a few years. By that time the Lakers may be on their last legs, Heat gunna have to do something with Wade, and the Thunder may have to break up.

:whoo: Cavs may be the favorite in 3-4years.

so you don't think waiters and thompson are just mediocre :jawalrus:

It's a little early to write off Waiters and Thompson don't you think?

They aren't even old enough to legally drink alcohol for God's sake. Waiters hasn't even played his first game.

Thompson doesn't have a high ceiling at all, he will never be a top 10 PF in the NBA and will probably be replaced as starter in the next few years, dude has backup written all over him.

Waiters is wait and see, but it could end up being a boneheaded pick considering the wing players that went after him.

I agree Thompson is ideally a top big man off the bench that provides rebounding and hustle. And I agree you want alot more than that from the 4th overall pick. But look at the rest of the players taken at the top of that draft. Enes Kanter, Derrick Williams, Jan Vesley.....none of them are contributing much. And before you mention Jonas Valenciunas, he has yet to play a minute in the NBA and averaged like 10 points a game in Europe.

That draft as a whole was garbage. Only Kawhi Leonard and Klay Thompson look like they will have promising careers.

The thing is, the Cavs were ready to take Jonas then got cold feet because of his contract situation. If you think a player is the best available you take him, it's not like they couldn't afford to wait for him to come over.

Also, if they wanted a project big that only defends, they could have gone with Biyombo. So, it doesn't even have to be Jonas, Biyombo is going to be one of the best man to man and interior defenders in the NBA.

With Waiters I'll reserve judgement until he actually plays a game, but it could turn out really bad considering Lamb and Barnes went after him.

:childplease: Kyrie (ROY), Faried, Shump, Marshon were all great last year, too

 And I wouldn't say Kemba, Jimmer, Tristan, Derrick Williams, Brandon Knight, Alec Burks, Markief Morris, Norris Cole, Jordan Hamilton, or Isaiah Thomas are on their way out the NBA anytime soon, either

Is it only fair for Wade to follow Lebron to Cleveland?

Maybe that was the deal all along :merchant:
