To be fair, it is a setting that most people have some level of familiarity with and where commonly certain kinds of socialization or social stratification occurs. We could use college or work as a setting but not everyone went to college or even the same kind of college and not everyone has the same kind of work environment (assuming they even work at all). It's a common thing overall in society.
