You're suspicious about the Root or HL. If the latter I agree too...
Anyways come stop by. If you are into African history I made a bunch of threads in the Root on African history
You can sometimes find me in Higher Learning or The Booth. I tend to stay away from The Locker Room though. I still find it funny it's TLR here when back at SOHH it was The Ladies Room and dudes just took it over.I never see any of yall in other sections of the Coli

socialism is about who controls the means of production / laborYeah I'm suspicious of higher learning...especially when you have them dudes going back and forth with "coke or Pepsi arguments" surrounding socialism(... oh I'm sorry "scientific socialism") and capitalism.
Which is crazy because land tenureship could just as easily work the way fishermen do on the water. No fisherman owns the water ...but they are currently using that spot to fish. Salt & gold miners, farmers, etc didn't own the land nor did the "state" it was managed by the head(s) of a community and whatever was taken from the land was sold on the open "free" market(or what ever the capitalist want to call it). There is no argument between socialism and capitalism other then the one they borrowed from Europeans instead of simply looking at their own historical record for the various economic systems employed.
It's really the same argument or issue I have with these ridiculous feminist on the one hand and these "I don't want my woman to work" / HOH / GMB ..."gender warriors" or what ever nonsense that goes around here and the larger net when it comes to men and women... Damn near all of it is informed by philosophical/societal dynamics & constructs that have next to nothing to do with us historically. But that's bigger than a Higher learning issue
Right now I just can't be bothered with higher learning....only thing of merit i've seen in my 1 or 2 visits was the cert talk
