The Democrats are not going to win the house, so it's a moot point. It's literally outside the realm of possibility. They'll be lucky if they keep the Senate.

But even if they did I don't think it'd really benefit Obama too much. He'd probably still go out of his way to try to be 'bipartisian' and appease Republicans.

Based on the gerrymandering that has been done I dont think it is possible for democrats to win the house ever again.

Sadly the most likely thing that happens is the GOP takes back the senate and they spend the last 2 years trying to impeach obama for what will basically amount to no reason.

The democrats had their chance and used their power to help their buddies in banking, bureacracy, and big pharma/insurance. Since then citizens united happened. The GOP is done on a national level but will make sure nothing 'gets done', whatever the hell that means in this broken system, for a long time.

Obama's bully pulpit is the only hope for some legislation that benefits the middle class to be brought up but based on international developments and the way the domestic economic numbers have been fabricated I dont think we will see any attempt to help the middle class as it dies. Even if Obama tried to use his pulpit it wouldnt work anyway( he's black ).

2008-10 was our only hope but the democrats betrayed Obama by not giving him the health care plan or stimulus he actually wanted to pass. He thought he could rely on the establishment but they were exposed for the crooks they are and let obama take the blame for everything. If Obama mania couldnt get pelosi, reid, feinstein and crew to do the right thing no way they will now.

Things could get ugly. The mid term election of 2010 spoke volumes. At time Obama looked like he knew things would get worse.

Obama is going to be impeached next year. Republicans will take back the Senate this November.

Obamacare will die when a Republican gets into office on January 2017

Uncertain grounds
I dont think the Repubs will take the Senate, and I dont think the Dems are going to take the House. There is still some time left until some primaries and the general elections, but barring a major blunder in the White House, I dont see the Repubs gaining much traction. Foreign policy with all of the stuff happening now could be something that would motivate more of the Repub base to turn out since most of them are more hawkish than the Dems, but I dont think it is all that likely.

Even if they lose the Senate, it will be short-lived because tables will turn: 2016 will be a democratic year.
The tea party Senate class of 2010 will be up for reelection... many of them in blue states... in a presidential year (higher turnout)... with Hillary on the ballot (remember Scott Brown?)

It doesn't matter if the Republicans win the house chances are another Democrat will win the next presidency and the Republicans will have a shaky hold of the house at best.
