They need a real point guard. Lin could possibly be the answer, even though I see him as an average-at-best point guard who had an extraordinary streak, but there's obviously plenty of differing opinions on him. I think he could be a decent backup; maybe they can bring in Nash for a year to run the point and help Lin improve.
