If the Pacers lose tonight, how will this team be remembered?

Just not talented or mentally strong enough.

The NBA is still a star driven league and its extremely hard to out talent the Heat if LeBron and Wade are out there for 35-40 minutes.

Not only that, Wade and LeBron have been here before, as have many of the role players, and they are now what I'd call "mentally tough". Being down in the 4th doesn't bother them too much. Losing a game here or there doesn't either. They'll find a way, which is why they are a championship team and will probably 3 peat.

They would have been eliminated 3 years in a row by the team who won 3 titles in a row. They're nowhere near the most disappointing teams of all time. This season specifically would be considered an underachievement but at the end of the day they still made the ECF again.

The nba playoffs is all about superstars and You can't win a title without a top 5(and in most cases top 3 ish) player. It's really that simple. Paul George is a nice player but he's not that guy.

i would say the sacramento kings of this era, but that's a disrespect to the kings cause webber, bibby and the boys had heart

The Kings actually had a legit chance to beat one of the all time great teams. These Pacers remind me of those Knicks that Jordan and them used to whup on. :mjlol:

It won't be remembered.

This thread should have ended here. Nobody is gonna remember a small market, defensive team with no superstar.

Exactly my whole point.

Yeah, something happening. The way Hibbert shutdown, somebody probably tried to holla at his wife or something. lol Or maybe it's just the Andrew Bynum being there effect.

They're just not as good as the Heat. It's safe to say that the Heat coasted through the regular season. We've seen this with championship teams time and time again it's nothing new.

If the Pacers don't do anything in the next 3 years this team won't be remembered at all.

PS they need to get rid of George Hill. He's a terrible passer for a point guard. What's even worse is that he struggles to make an entry pass to the post. CJ Watson should start.

Oh, so taking the Heat to a game 7(when they basically gave away game 1) last year didn't mean anything? Having a better record than the Heat doesnt mean anything? Being the ultimate physical opposition that clearly gave the Heat trouble the way nobody else could doesn't mean anything?

There was no "hype", you could see this team was good enough to win, IF they got better....which they did not.

it really doesnt mean anything....they had a good run....but for all the reasons already posted...they just werent good enough to beat the heat....

theres no points for 'almost' breh....who cares what you 'almost' did?
