It'll be Parker cause he's a "star." This doesn't fit the topic but I just heard that fool Bill Simmons say that Game 6 is a must win for the Spurs.

It is. You gotta do everything you can to avoid a game 7 in Miami.

Yes but we still have 1-2 games to go and Parker can snatch it away with a great performance or 2 due to his star status

but as of right now, it's Danny Green

I don't know. Maybe.
He set a new record in Game 5 and did it with the previous record holder in the game, Allen.

He was throwing bricks in Game 1. That was sad. He decided to turn his radar back on.

I don't understand how he's still open :mindblown:

It's because you can't just stick a strong perimeter defender on Green and lock him down like you would a normal 3-point specialist who's shooting out of his mind; you can't do that to any Spurs player, really.

The Spurs offense is predicated on constant curl screens/P&R/offball movement. There's really no effective way for Miami to guard it. Either they switch on P&Rs/screens and end up with terrible matchups or they stick to their man chasing them through multiple screens and wear themselves out throughout the game (You've been able to really see it with LeBron this series, by the 4th quarter that nikka's sucking air and hardly having an effect on the game because he's EXHAUSTED from chasing Green/Parker/Neal etc. through all kinds of double/triple screens every possession).

Even if they were to dedicate themselves to shutting Green down with doubles, that frees up Manu/Neal/Parker/Leonard on the perimeter and starts giving them open looks and driving lanes that they didn't have before.

It's really a pick your poison type deal. The Spurs motion offense is too advanced and Green's too good at setting himself up off the ball for Miami to just key in on and him and shut him down without causing a world of other issues and mismatches on the court.

Parker putting in 16 and 7 assists. Duncan with 15, 11 rebounds, and 2 blocks. Green with 18 a game. Pop is the MVP.

I have to agree with this.

As a heat fan, coming into this series the person I was most afraid of was pop.cause I respect dude so much.

He's like the Bill Bellichick or Nick Sabin of the NBA ( exept he's capable of at least showing emotion when they win championships)

Dude has been the best coach of the past 15 years in my opinion.

:wtf: Spurs CAN lose Game 6 and still win the finals, how is it a must win for the Spurs :laff:

Of course he didn't mean it in a literal sense nikka :beli: The Spurs DO NOT want to play Sunday, Tuesday, and then again Thursday. 2 of the 3 Spurs wins have came after 2 or more days rest. Add in the fact that game 7 is in Miami, yeah the Spurs don't want that.

So yeah it is most definitely a MUST WIN game for the Spurs Tuesday night
