If the Undertaker debuted in 2014 how do you think he would be received?

1992 Undertaker would be dumped on but ministry of darkness [where he was actually talking and not acting like a zombie] would get over if handled right, sure

Now my dude.... See what you just said?? "If handled right"

I mean doggie.... That relates to everyone!! Fandango could've been great if handled right, same with Swagger same with Codie's old tag team partner same with Ryback, same with a handful of others.

But nooooooooooooooo the E always let's the fan's down and there is absolutely no faith in the thought process or hope that they would "handle this right"

Gotta disagree with some of my folks. Real talk, ya'll, them dudes that they call CREATIVE don't know what they're doing. (I think that's part of the reason DB is not as over as he should be, but that's for another thread.)

Bray Wyatt is the outlier in an otherwise bland landscape of "smiling", waxy-looking.

If Undertaker debuted in 2014 the WWE would want to clean him up. He'd be a Goth type with a "pretty" build, and his music would have terrible new-Pop lyrics. He would be afraid of Brock Lesnar or John Cena and they'd script his promos as long winded monologues.

The irony is that Undertakers has been updated for every generation of wrestling fan; his outfits, promos and wrestling style have constantly evolved. Thankfully, no one can tell him what to do, so his latest incarnation will be his last.

if undertaker was born many years later and debuted today at the age he debuted back then with the same gimmick he'd be over far more over than Bray Wyatt that's for sure

some things are just going to catch on no matter what the era ...not sure he gets away with the floating stuff like that back then but he would definitely be over

Following the Vampire dude, Zombie, Boogieman, and a couple of other characters.... Doubtful.... But maybe if they didn't exist...... Slight possibility. But he would NEVER be as huge as he is today and I doubt he'd be a champ yet along get the backing to acquire a streak

I think we already have a template for how the world would of reacted to Taker. Allow me to show y'all an example

Yes..... He prolly would've never made it to main tv just doing a bunch of backstage boogie man shyt

Then again, y'all tell me.... If the E would've continue to push Zombie..... How far do y'all think he would've got or do y'all think he was be a steady main eventer today?:childplease:

:dahell: :wtf: :mjlol:

I don't even remember this and I watched the beginning of the WWECW. Dude was like the early to mid 90s gimmicks. :dead:

Who played him?

I miss the creativity. Look at the old Rumble posters then compared to now. It used to look straight out of a comic book, now it's just a bunch of guys.
