Whoever laid out the Greek Alphabet wasn't doing so for the purpose of counting the COVID mutations thousands of years later?

The idea that the "Omega" variant is going to fulfill the prophecy and wipe us out is more of a comic book plot?

What if there will be 100 variants and we make it to quadruple Gamma before the doomsday variant.

What if it never develops into a planet buster and just joins the other billion viruses that haven't been able to get us yet.

nah, they get new designations based on how quickly they spread, how resistant they are to measures, or how it presents itself
