If there is one course / school subject that you can retake, which would it be?

Advanced Calc and Business.

First because I just stopped caring about math during that class, Not sure why, but math used to be my fav subject and i was good at it.

Business , especially accounting because it clicked with me, but I was in a party school and felt that I had to transfer and never picked it back up.

Math, mainly algebra. So I could've studied more and possibly have gotten a degree and been more successful. I have yet to see in the real world where I'm adding and subtracting some damn letters, and yet that shyt seemed to be important. :stopitslime:

It all adds up over time no pun intended. Math stops being all about solving and simple computations into abstract mathematics, and it all builds on your ability to rationalize. The most annoying people to argue with are those who know math and approach everything like a proof.

Maths, without a doubt. I'm still outstanding at mental maths. A couple of days ago this guy had to get the calculator out to figure 1880 - 948 + x = 1356. I actually beat him to it and solved for x = 424, using just my head :takedat:

So it has always been a disappointment to me that I was so terrible at advanced mathematics - geometry, further algebra, trigonometry, statistics, calculus - given how naturally good I am at the basics of maths, like mental maths, fractions and percentages.

Plato wrote that there's two types of maths, the kind that a general needs to know so he can set up his troops (mental maths) and the kind that a philosopher beeds to know so he can grasp reality (geometry). I ain't trying to be a general!

You do it all the time without thinking. Say for instance, you're thinking about getting a part time job, you want to work 20 hours a week , and you need to make $500

X = Hourly Rate
20 = Number of hours

Formula would be 20*X = 500, X = 500/20, X=$25

Of course this is just a simple example, but I don't think people realize how often they use algebra, statistics, geometry and calculus on a regular basis.

Organic Chemistry.

Switched my major from Chemical Engineering to Industrial Engineering due to this course. Everyone used to tell their horror stories about the class, and I let that shyt get in my head and psych me out before I even got in the class. I was doomed from the start. Dropped it after the first month.

I wish I could retake it.

Oh hell no.

I have anxiety just looking at this.

I am HORRIBLE at math. I failed a math class every year of high school and had to make it up the following year.

My last semester of my senior year I was taking Geometry and Algebra 3.

Passed Geom with like a 76 and Algebra 3 with like a 71. Just enough to graduate. :wow::francis:

I was EXCELLENT in every other subject though. All A's and B's.

It only looks intimating. You use math every day and you're probably a lot better at it than you realize

I'd retake my Art History: Renaissance to Modern because it was literally life changing.

Other than that...prolly any math class and actually study so I would be a 30 year old man feeling remedial as hell trying to add in tips for my Quinoa salad.
