We need to hold other men accountable to this standard, not blame the victims but rather the perpetrators.

Yes these bad people exist, but by society not being aligned to deem these behaviors unacceptable the bs is allowed to persist.

As a man, I can’t fathom what kind of sicko would want to take a woman’s humanity. I don’t believe it has anything to do with how you’re raised because I’ve heard too many stories of men from “good” backgrounds raping women.
Sickos like that simply aren’t wired right. Same with pedos. For you to take a child’s innocence is equally as heinous. I’d like to believe it isn’t most men, but when you hear so many stories from women who were abused by men..

Sadly this is super common, I'm 43 and have always had really close female friends, had numerous relationships over the past 3 decades and I would say probably 90% of girls I was with on a somewhat consistent romantic basis and roughly 80% of all my homegirls who I've known for a couple years or more, basically all the females in my life where there was a comfort/trust level between us have confided in me that they've experienced some form of sexual assault, from molestation to straight up rape to varying degrees of foul shyt in between.I had an ex break down and cry in the middle of having sex. Many, many, many instances in these conversations it's also come to light that the overwhelming majority (higher percentage than my stats) of females they know be it family members, friends, classmates, coworkers etc have experienced some form of sexual assault.
Annectodal evidence or not youd be hard pressed to find a female who's 25 that hasn't experienced some perpetration that falls somewhere on the s.a. spectrum by that age.
It definitely has nothing to do with how a perpetrator is raised or anything to do with the victim, from all socio economic backgrounds to females who are "promiscuous" to unassuming nerds who are "a sexual" theres no checklist of indicators that make a female more prone to being assaulted. Are the numbers gonna be higher amongst sex workers? Yeah, for sure, theres exceptions to every rule but, a 12 year old rich girl who goes to a private school is just as vulnerable or likely to being molested by a relative or a teacher or a neighbor as a "low income area project chick"
The only thing I would say that differs in how the way you're raised comes into play would be males reactions to the revelation a girl/woman they know was molested/raped, in my experience the more "working class" a male is the less likely he is to cover for peers perpetrating these acts and the more prone he is to an act of vigilantism.
You hit the nail on the head with not wired right, theres no rehabilitation for a rapist or pdf file, they have an insane resitivism rate and literally cant stop themselves from reoffending, even in scenarios they know they're almost certain to get caught they still commit the act. It varies state to state but it's very common for first time offenders to skate with probation
I watched a video on YouTube recently with a guy who's american but was living in Germany at the time who raped and murdered a 15 year old girl when he was 18 or 19 and because of his age he only got a 6 year sentence in a juvenile facility and was out in 3 years and moved back to the states where he then brutally assaulted and raped another teen girl and somehow got a 6 month sentence and only ended up serving 3 months which he did on weekends only so as to not jeopardize his employment. Fast forward 30 years later and with new DNA technology they got him dead to rights on another murder and rape of a teen girl in Berkley, CA iirc and when the fbi executed the search warrant on his crib they found an insane stockpile of VHS and polaroids of children from the area over decades that he had made himself including c.p. where hes visibly on camera assaulting numerous kids. The fbi offered him a plea deal to not charge him for the murder if he plead guilty to a production of c.p. charge, he also accidentally admitted to another rape and murder of a teen girl in the interrogation at the station.
When it was all said and done the 2 rape and murders were tried separately and the 1st one he was found guilty and somehow his sentence was 6 years to life...finally on the last murder he got natural life no parole. But cottdamn it took 3 murders 4 rapes and decades of sexual assault victims on video for them to give him a real prison term.
For some comparative context when I was 19 I got a possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute and my first offer was 7 years. Try to make any of this math make sense you can't.
