She's right. A rapist doesn't give a fukk what someone's wearing or not wearing if they want to rape they'll do it.

Everything else is just people trying to come up with excuses for rapists because they'd low key want to rape people too and need a reason to absolve themselves of responsibility if they ever acted on their desires.

Whether a woman being scantily dressed makes it more appealing for a rapist to act on his desire to harm the woman does not absolve the man of responsibility for his actions nor does it make rape a benign act. If I left my door unlocked and someone robbed me, robbery is still wrong. If I see an unlocked car with key in the ignition, I'm still committing a crime by entering and driving the car away. The onus is still on me to not be a piece of shyt. If you don't understand this, its because you don't want to and you need some sort of leway to be shielded from punishment when you decide to harm someone else. You're not a good person and need to actually do some introspection and figure out why you're like this.

Honestly yes, we’ve let predators normalize rape and abuse for a very long time.

It’s not common. It’s not “just how things are”.

Clothing has nothing to do with the being victimized by a predator.

Let’s be for real.

If you aren’t a predator you will not attack someone. Point blank.

Most people aren’t predators. And most rapes or sexual assaults are committed by perpetrators who’ve committed similar crimes in the past.

Women’s gym attire doesn’t attract rapists.

The amount they’ve had to drink doesn’t attract rapists.

A rapist will rape regardless. If you aren’t a predator you won’t see any of these things as “opportunities”, so let’s stop putting the blame and responsibility on the victims.

The only person at fault is the perpetrator.

Also I’d like to note, I completely agree with her ending statement too, y’all weirdos in these comment sections are predators. It’s not normal to stalk people. It’s not normal to comment what you’d do in that situation. It’s not normal to be in people DMs on some fetish shyt. Fortunately there is help available. I’ll link a self help line or something.

This. Her point is one thing but the example used, being Kim's robbery, is a terrible one since these people were focused on grabbing shyt and going as soon as possible. Just because you are down for one crime doesn't mean you are down for all crime. A person who is capable of murder or who has murdered may not murder someone during a robbery.
