collectively nobody cares anymore.
If you a productive citizens this is actually good news for you
Okay dumass
So what do you think will happen…?
Lower health care.
Doctors and nurses, the entire industry will become cheaper to afford. The baby boomers are about to hit the medical market hard in the next 20 years. I could go on about the implications but anyone with half a brain can put things together on how this would benefit all.
But I bet you think Donald trump will put blacks back as slaves.
Medicaid cuts won't make healthcare cheaper, they'll just push more people into medical debt and lead to higher uncompensated costs that hospitals pass on to everyone else.
Pretending this is good news for "productive citizens" is not only cruel, it's extremely short-sighted. What happens when low-income workers can't get treatment and miss work? What happens when rural hospitals close, when treatments becomes harder to access, and so on?
Also, Medicaid keeps millions of seniors in nursing homes, covers disabled people, and helps children and pregnant women get basic care. Children are also the largest group of Medicaid beneficiaries by enrollment, so cutting the program means cutting their access to care.
On top of that, this will seriously harm the Medicaid expansion, which has been one of the most important tools for improving health outcomes among low-income, working-class people, especially Black Americans. It was one of the most transformative policies for Black health outcomes in recent decades. Why would you downplay this loss? Or shrug your shoulders?
