Any other country would take to the streets and stay there.
I used to dislike the French but they are truly about it when the government tries to fukk them over as they understand, them screwing you over means they'll screw me next.
They have a unified spirit and protest in their blood.
Sad to see this will probably pass with some shoulder shrugging from the so-called media, angry words online, a small protest of the usual suspects, and that's it.
What do you do when you need to feed yourself or your family, and these are helping you out?

The only sensible change/improvement they could make is that food stamps can only be used on domestic produced goods. So you limit the funding of foreign agriculture.
The food stamps program is funded within the agriculture department. But an amazing amount of misinformation has farmers complaining about people being lazy

Medicaid cuts won't make healthcare cheaper, they'll just push more people into medical debt and lead to higher uncompensated costs that hospitals pass on to everyone else.
Pretending this is good news for "productive citizens" is not only cruel, it's extremely short-sighted. What happens when low-income workers can't get treatment and miss work? What happens when rural hospitals close, when treatments becomes harder to access, and so on?
Also, Medicaid keeps millions of seniors in nursing homes, covers disabled people, and helps children and pregnant women get basic care. Children are also the largest group of Medicaid beneficiaries by enrollment, so cutting the program means cutting their access to care.
On top of that, this will seriously harm the Medicaid expansion, which has been one of the most important tools for improving health outcomes among low-income, working-class people, especially Black Americans. It was one of the most transformative policies for Black health outcomes in recent decades. Why would you downplay this loss? Or shrug your shoulders?
