If you think time machines won't be used to try to take over the world I've got a bridge in Brooklyn I'm selling for the low
I'd imagine the endeavor would be treated like the ISS

Time travel isn’t linear so it wouldn’t affect this timeline anyways, it would jus create new timelines.
thats just movie shyt
@Dafunkdoc_Unlimited
Let's say I time travel back to 2010
My current timeline has me time traveling back to a timeline that is presently in the year 2010
There now may or may not be two "mes" in 2010 and 0 in the timeline that is currently 2022 because I left it in the time traveling machine.
If I kill the me that I encounter in 2010, I am still in existence in the timeline that is 2022 because the me that time traveled is still alive in 2010 whereas the one I killed hadn't yet reached 2022 in that timeline to time travel.
The question would then be if I time traveled to 2022 would I be in the same 2022 that I previously left or am I in an alternate timeline that happens to be in 2022. Can the time machine pause time? Unlikely. Be tethered to the dimension your corporeal body inhabited? Unclear. Regardless, theres nothing mandating that the person in 2010 I killed was myself therefore I would poof into non existence
I hate Schrodingers catif a tree falls its makes a noise regardless if there is an observer to the tree falling.
I'd rather just say I am not aware of a way to currently test for alternate timelines.![]()

Nah God would see you and be likeIf time travel was possible could you go back to inception
Not the big bang
Actual inception of all
Would that make you god

No it doesn’t. And what’s wrong with Shrodinger’s Cat?
And I was thinking bout going back in time like back to the turn of the century or so, y’all tombout going back before y’all was even born![]()

You'd cease to exist in your 'native' timeline due to the Grandfather Paradox, but, you might still exist in the alternate timeline if quantum superpositions apply to large objects, like Schrodinger's Cat, you'd exist and NOT exist at the same time.
My point is that I am not killing myself. I'm killing someone theoretically identical to me that is existing independent of me
Technically, you ARE killing yourself while NOT killing yourself as the other 'you' wouldn't exist if you didn't, but, if you take yourself out, 'you' would still exist because......quantum mechanics.
