Yep. I’ve been on it since 2010. I think the openness of twitter makes it better than Reddit…. Well not necessarily better but I’ll take twitter info and look for it in other places like Reddit. I’ll search “ Napoleon Hill” on Twitter to see with someone else has tweeted and get put on to similar people

yup it's easier to find legit voices from local community than on local subreddits thats are constantly brigaded by racists.

People will just post text on IG and Tiktok.

:scusthov:

full text search > photos/videos

i've tried to search instagram before they had that login requirement.. the search function sucks just like the search on tiktok sucks.. #hashtag only search functionality is not a proper replacement for actual search

That may be true but it's pathetic and we deserve whatever happens since we allowed it in the first place.

might be a good thing. all people seem to do is read the 280 character limit and then the contest for the sassiest comment begins. seems like they don't even try to understand the whole story, click the actual article, or read further or anything like that.

a lot of users fight disinformation in comment threads. it's not uncommon to see a comment thread with deleted posts because a user was shamed into deleting their misinformation.

Twitter is'nt real but more and more, companies and even governments (local and beyond) are using it to affect the real world

Some of ya'll hate it because you've spent to much time looking up and looking at dumb shyt, it's all you see in your timeline and now you think it's the worst thing in the world

Half the dumb shyt that gets posted on The Coli from Twitter? That shyt NEVER crosses my timeline, ever

if the thecoli was the only historical record of what twitter was for future generations to learn about, they'd think it was a place where only divestors, sex-workers, feminists and clout chasers babbled all-day long. :francis:

i never seen that but i'm not on twitter so maybe i don't get to see everything. i'll take your word for it but usually by that time i'm sure the damage is already done and probably by that time a peabrained comment is the most liked/viewed.

There is no other social media platform that comes near enough to Twitter and no other media has the ability to spread messages so fast. The UK & many other Western governments are not prepared for a post Twitter world. I think contingency plans will now speed up. China is happy

the #1 thing I like about twitter is my ability to type something that just happened in the search and get a clip of it

that shyt would take hours/days to hit google/youtube

usually it's just something dumb like a basketball highlight or some other unimportant shyt, but losing almot immediate access clips of news/current events stuff to link people to is gonna suck.

:unimpressed:
