My favorite kind of thread, but OP's list is
'96 Tupac - catalog . . sales . . consistency . . fan base . . marketable . . someone I can feel proud about going home at nigh to my kids

t, he would be free to create without creative restraint, we would send him on leisure travel to absorb as much influence of the world as possible so making timeless music wouldn't be a chore that he needs to feel indebted to
'03 50 Cent -
'04 Mac Dre - catalog, appeal, could be marketed as white friendly . . can make radio friendly hits, especially for the YouTube general
I would've loved to give Dr. Dre and Eminem a nod but with the creative pace of these individuals I don't think a patient perfectionist like Dr. Dre would comfortably fit into the environment. Then for those who picked Eminem be careful . . high risk, high reward but you'd need a lot of resources allocated to artist development, do you know how long they worked on trying to help him find his most appealing voice? That's why you heard so many voices over the years, that's representative of focus in that area. Then putting his singles like HI My Name Is, Real Slim Shady, Without Me, Bezerk, etc. - it took A&Rs a lot to get him to do those, he felt stressed by the pressure to produce these songs - his crossover, radio friendly hits which are a staple of his releases (besides Recovery), we also feel Mac Dre can do these type of songs well (see "Get Stupid"), in fact this pressure is what inspired the song "Way I Am" and once he got that off his chest his next song was "Real Slim Shady"
We would probably sign Gucci Mane as an A&R too . . our artists would be responsible for the creative development of new signings, we would be like a family
