Goatganda the pearl of Africa
it means nothing
considering oklahoma has ohio state, @tcu, texas, @texas tech, baylor @ west virginia vs okie state

oklahoma will lose to ohio state, and i can see it being a tossup in the other games, esp on the road in forth worth, against a texas tech team that will put up 50 a game on everyone, baylor with a heaslthy seth russell, playing in morgantown is always difficult.

houston has a cupcake schedule, best bet is that louisville remians undefeated which would mean beating florida state and clemson

They just beat the third ranked team in the nation.
....AND they were ranked #15 when they did it.

The REAL key will be where they are ranked to start this week. If they can somehow get into the Top 10, I truly believe they will make the playoffs because I truly believe they are going to run the table now, in which case they will continuously move up in the rankings week by week. They lost ONE game last year and beat FSU....and now they've beaten OK. Give these boys their props and don't be holdin their conference wackness AGAINST them.

I mean, look at their remaining schedule:

....outside of mebbe Louisville, how do they NOT beat all those teams and win the conference? And when they do, they might be in the Top 4 or 5 by then.

Even if they go undefeated they will need some serious help. They're off to a good start with the big 12 looking like ass. There's still no way they make it over a 1 loss big 10 champ, sec champ, and maybe even if Clemson/fsu drop one. They need the pac12 to beat itself up.

All they need is for Oklahoma to win this week and they control their destiny

They just beat the third ranked team in the nation.
They did not beat the 3rd ranked team in the country

They need OU to beat OSU and win the Big12 they need to beat UL and UL win the ACC

That's the only shot they have

Would they play well in the playoffs, yes. But it's far from a guarantee they'll make it. Let's say tOSU,Bama,FSU all go undefeated they are locks. Let's say Texas also wins out. Who y'all think the committee will put in?

Not gonna happen even if they win out. They need a lot of dominoes to fall.

those dominoes already started falling

OU, TCU already lost. Texas isn't going undefeated and neither is baylor.

Stanford is probably going to lose twice.

ND already lost.

An undefeated houston team will be the 4th seed along with BAMA, OSU/UM winner and Clemson/FSU winner

If Buckeyes, Bama, FSU, and Texas win out, then houston is OUT 1000% guarantee. Have fun in the sugar bowl vs ole miss houston :mjlol:

To be honest, If Oklahoma beat osu this week and osu went undefeated the rest of the way, I'm not even sure Houston would get in over osu. Figure the final 4 will have at least 1 sec team and very likely a b10 team. After that it comes down to Texas, Clemson, Florida state and the pac12 beating each other up enough to let Houston in.
