Vick's fall off from the one great season he had is an enigma
the eagles the last two seasons has been some of the worst football I have ever seen with my own two eyes
it had to be some kind of problems with the organization or locker room

Cool. I read this from BGN and Philly.com

EAGLES QB UPDATE: Foles got off to a bad start. His first throw was nearly a pick 6 to Aqib Talib, who simply dropped the sure interception. After that, he rebounded quickly and made some quality deep throws to DeSean Jackson and Damaris Johnson for touchdowns. I'd say Foles had more impressive plays than Michael Vick today. Matt Barkley threw an interception that was a real headscratcher. Either he forced the ball or there was miscommunication, because there was nothing there when he made that throw.

Nick Foles' day started very poorly, but he recovered in a big way. On his very first rep, Foles threw a short pass into the flat where it should have been picked off by Aqib Talib and taken back the other way for 6. But after that, he was great. His highlight throws: - Foles' best throw on the day was a post corner route to Riley Cooper. The ball came out before Cooper made his final cut, but it was delivered to a perfect spot over Cooper's shoulder. Great ball.

- Foles hit DeSean Jackson deep down the sideline for a TD. They beat rookie Logan Ryan. Good throw, although DeSean got a lot of separation. Easy.

- Foles had another little subtle throw that impressed me. DeSean Jackson was running across the middle wide open. Foles hitched before throwing, quickly reloaded, and fired. It took me a second to realize what the hitch was all about, but I figured out that a flyswatter guy was likely in the way initially.

• Michael Vick wasn't without highlights. His best play came on the rollout to the left. He threw to the back of the end zone to a fairly well covered Riley Cooper, but put the ball where only Riley could get it. Both QBs were good today, although I'd give the edge to Foles... which basically means nothing.

Either way, nothing's been decided as of yet.

Vick isn't a HOF QB, and I'm a Vick fan.

If Vick can't CLEARLY beat out Nick fukking Foles for the job at THIS point, I question whether he can actually run Chip's system.

Go read the updates that phillycavsfan has been providing on training camp (or, just listen to Sal Pal and Tim McManus every day), and Vick HASN'T won the job outright because he hasn't looked good. First week his VERY first pass was a pick. Plus, he keeps hitting the stupid markers that Chip Kelly's staff put up to represent d-linemen with their hands up, because Vick is ALWAYS near the top of the league in passes batted down, and with the short precision passes needed to make Chip's offense work, he CANNOT be doing that.

So if he doesn't win the job, he shouldn't be the starter.

And I say all that as a fan of the TEAM.....I'm not tryinta have Mike in there fukkin' up when we're trying to win IF he's not adept at running the offense.

Does that mean I'm HAPPY that Foles would be the starter? No, because IMO he's not the answer, either. But that's all we got.

:comeon: you probably trollin but you makin us EAgles fans look bad ...Smarten up

all you dummys took the bait

He still holds the ball too long. That wasn't because of Andy, it's a weakness for Mike.

No such thing really. Sports analysts say these type of things when they wanna find fault with QBs, black ones in particular.....

No one was holding the ball longer than Payton, Brady, and Big Ben prior to 2010. Does Aaron Rodgers hold the ball too long?

A decent O-line should buy you enough time to let a play develop if first, second read aint there......Nuff said

ITS FUNNY HOW PERCEPTION WORKS...

IN THE 09-10 SEASON ANALYSTS WERE LIKE "AARON RODGERS IS A GOOD QB

BUT HE HOLDS THE BALL TOO LONG."

NOW THAT HE'S WON A RING...

THE TALK THIS OFF SEASON IS

"AARON RODGERS WAS THE MOST SACKED QB IN THE NFL LAST SEASON,

HE NEEDS O-LINE HELP BAD."

Exactly!!!!!! That's exactly how it works

Rodgers does hold onto the ball too long, but hes a great qb
the packers oline IS ceappy, especially now with Bulaga out.

people have been making excuses for Cutlers fukkups too, even on the plays that had nothing to do with the line. however, the bears DO have a shytty line. so this isnt mutually exclusive

but in general, what you posted about perception is true.
