RIvers is a solid, maybe even good QB, but when I watched him play, I always had my doubts....

The plays I saw L.T. , Sproles, Gates, V. Jackson, Burner make were like

His O-line wasn't protecting well and he made a lot of bad decisions with the ball. What those playmakers did for him was cover up some of the physical definicies he has in his arm game.....I saw VJ jump over a corner to come back to the ball at least 7 times. When those weapons were no longer there, Norv had him continue to play the same way when he should have made the offense less vertical.....

Whisenhunt will have him looking better, but them fantasy type numbers aint coming back. At least I don't think so

No it's not. This is where the stanning goes off the rails. Offensive line wasn't good, but a lot of Vick's problems were of his own doing

He holds on to the ball too long. He gets passes batted downe's at the LOS a lot. He fumbled the ball 11 times in 10 games last season (and only scored 1 rushing TD). He threw some of the worst INTs I've seen since the Ty Detmer era. Like Favreian, throw-across-his-shoulder-to-the-middle-of-the-field type interceptions.

He's nothing more than a stopgap QB now. The fact that he's struggling to beat out a former 3rd round pick like Nick Foles should tell you everything. He's not what he used to be.

Can you pull up some info from the Eagles practices this year that says he is struggling against Foles?

Although Chip Kelly has done a masterful job of convincing local media Nick Foles is a legitimate contender for the starting job, the idea has always been absurd on paper. Unsurprisingly, beat writers have started pegging Vick as the favorite after observing practice. Foles simply doesn't possess the athleticism necessary to pilot Kelly's offense. We'd be shocked if Vick — and his $3.5 million signing bonus — aren't under center come Week 1.

but it gets me so frustrated when nikkas fail to mention the O Line...they get no accountability because they dont show up on the box score

BTW, Sam Bradford had 22 touchdowns last season to Vick's 14. And if you want to argue that Vick only played 10 games, Bradford had a higher touchdown percentage too.

If it's close (which it is now), Foles will be made the starter. Vick's gotta outplay him in preseason action.

And as bad as Foles was last season, he was only a rookie.
