What does Black America look like today? If y’all are familiar, there were a lot of Black folks in politics in this time period. But then they put laws in place and KKK etc

The stopping of the completion of Sherman's March and the deconstruction of the reconstruction by American president andrew Johnson were some of the most negatively consequential events for black Americans.

Sherman's March would have properly purged most of the south of the confederates and their white supremacist seedlings, who have engaged in countless attempts against the black race.

We were well on our way to building properly in this country during the reconstruction, we had economic and political power. We weren't terrorized endlessly. Black kids could get an education. But we saw how that went

We were basically a one party system at that point. because all the south was still in the doghouse for seceding from the union. But eventually they reingratiated themselves into the political system and put a stop to all that progress.
