i dont have any kids but i assume people who do have them for a ton of reasons. some just want to go raw, others are vain enough to just want to see a version of themselves, others want to have influence over someone, some think kids cement a relationship, and of course there are those who want to compete and outnumber other "tribes" so to speak, and of course you get the people who want to live vicariously through someone else. even an immortal will have some desire for a talent that they dont possess but their kids may.

until overcrowding happens, there is little aversion. you dont even have to take good care of the kids since nothing you do will get them killed.

Which is where government intervenes.

at first I was like, "YEA nikka I'D BE fukkN MAD shyt UP"

Then I thought about this for the first time ever. The question is if we were immortal, not invincible. So essentially, you could be paralyzed or a vegetable for an infinite amount of time.
With that in mind I'd probably lead an even safer life than I do now.

:ohhh: never thought about it this way...

That's an interesting point fam, but I think by definition being immortal means your invincible.

Sounds like implied knowledge to me. And as we all know when it come to hypothetical situations, implied knowledge is a catch 22.

I don't think it's any different than the super powers question. Yeah you could pick the power to fly, but did you factor in altitude, oxygen, wind velocity, the attire required etc etc

can you you still be immortal without a physical body?

I see no reason why not when faced with this hypothetical. That's the catch 22. You're immortal but nobody said you're actually going to like it.
