If you a young QB with NFL aspirations why would you go play for Urban Meyer or F. Beamer??

I have to agree, particularly in dealing with Urban Mayer. He has essentially realized that the position is all but inconsequential CFB. Escpecially when every other aspect of the team is elite.

It's a bit of a crapshoot.
But there's something to be said about college football coaches/programs that never produce NFL quarterbacks.
If you've established some kind of legacy (Bobby Bowden, Steve Spurrier, Urban Meyer...whatever) and your quarterbacks consistently flop at the next level, that reflects on you in some way.
I'm just using Bowden and Spurrier as examples of big time coaches. I didn't delve into what QBs they've had.
It's sort of like the way that Duke wins in college but North Carolina or Kentucky produces NBA stars.
not really, there job is to win college games
why would they care about how their qbs do in the nfl? do they get royalties?
They might not care.
But it still reflects on their program.
OP is talking about players who want to excel and be prepared for the next level.
The program you choose has a big impact on whether you get to that next level.
Okay, you might win a chip at OSU.
But as a QB, that's likely all you'll ever do.
its a crap shoot at the end of the day, theres no program out there that keeps putting out nfl qbs that succeed.

this is a dumbass statement if i've ever seen one. you do know you're talking about some of the best coaches football has ever seen right? it reflects them in 0 way. you don't need superstar QBs in college. you can win with great defense and a run game.
