That's why Asians, Whites, and even MEXICANS are kicking our ass, because some of us are ok with token prizes because they went through the "struggle"...

I'm proud of what I've accomplished to this point as a black man, have a long way to go, I understand we do have challenges that other races don't face, but setting the bar low at $40k is a joke.



In fact, Google Facts tweeted out a few years back: People who have a rough upbringing are 300% more likely to be successful, because they don't want to go back to their old child hood life style.


But why doesn't that happen with Black people????


You got people coming over here from croatia, on a boat with nothin but a bologna sand witch, turning into Billionaires (Robert Herjavec, Shark tank)...


You got Mexican people crossing the boarder, with NOTHING, don't even speak our Native language, making it...

Africa. Not talking being a Black Imperialist from the West. I'm talking genuinely building up Africa, using skills/education/talents/resources you have, and watch the money come in.

Adopt an African country or region and see what you can do business wise to improve the quality of life. Not charity. You may not make as much off top if you were in the U.S.doing the same business
.....then again you might do much better, since the U.S. is already "saturated" with Western quality of life aspects, which at it's core is a business
.....regardless in the long term its a good move. As Africa enhances you will have a small foothold, that can turn into something much bigger.

I guess what I'm saying is refine your entrepreneurship/business acumen in the U.S., but have a side project that takes your model and applies it to an African country or region.

It happens to black people right in front of your face. You named one Croatian (Robert Herjavec) and act like everyone from Croatia comes over here and is a billionaire

You didn't name one Asian or Mexican... instead you just said "they come over here and do better" Mexicans come over here (and here to me is San Diego... ten minutes from one of the biggest border crossings in the US at Tijuana) and they work bottom of the barrel jobs, usually live in cramped houses, drive crappy old cars... they don't have it any "better" than poor black people.

This hyperbole that all black people live in squalor needs to stop. There are black men and women graduating from college at high numbers every year. We have black people succeeding in all forms of business. We have great tools to forward ourselves and help each other. No, the circumstances are not ideal, but we have people doing great things.

Focus on yourself...some of US (myself included) make much more than 40K and are continuing to push forward. This narrative that all black people settle at below average standards is tired, baseless, and downright disrespectful.

Shift your perspective breh...and I mean that with no malice. It's ironic that you can watch Shark Tank and notice Robert Herjavec...I watch Shark Tank and I notice Daymond John

Actually brother, folks who grow up in poverty tend to remain impoverished. They don't have the knowledge to escape their circumstances. And even if they do get an education and a "good job" they don't have a clue how to effectively manage their newfound riches.

Well yeah I'm still in the planning stages of it, I want to begin with novels, then work my way up from there... I got information to get the LLC off the ground from brehs on here. I have about 3 of my works already done. But I'm really amped for creating an animated series pilot. I'm still looking for connections in that area. I got the contact for Titmouse studios but I really want the guys who did the boondocks, I got my homie Mag-Nito muzik and a few others to help me out on the score. The show is gonna be a mash up of kung-fu hip hop & spycraft, action thriller type of series. a lil comedy sprinkled here and there.

The Boondocks used a studio based in Korea I believe. Good for you brother. I was a creative writing major and wrote a book. It got zero traction, but I learned alot about myself and developed a new level of discipline by the time it was finished.

I'll be honest with you. Don't waste time with a proof of concept. Go all the way. You're black. White guys and Asians can walk in with some shyt scribbled on a napkin. You can't. In tech now and wasted so much time developing MVPs hoping to get funding. No traction. Built my own product fully at great personal cost, now I'm generating real revenue that allows me to support myself. My ideas weren't the problem, my visage was.
