Back there with the ipads. We rocking full OS not limited apps based os's. And I love android but it cant compete with a full OS.

What's the advantages of running a full OS on a tablet when the bulk of what you will do will be through apps which are usually plentiful on most tablets?

ipad gives me access to everything I need in a tablet. internet browsing/youtube/netflix/dropbox/pictures/apps. what else do I need? I'm not gonna do actual work on a tablet, so all that other shyt is moot.

So can go you do anything flash related? No you can't. Can you add any usb keyboard, mouse, flash drive, hard drives, mobile data usb sticks, printing on any printer, native dlna, run any window app, read any file etc. its just goes on and on.

I don't use flash drives. my dropox has 16GB of space. so

I don't print. my job gave me a brand new printer to work at home, and its been on my back porch in the box since september. as for flash, I mostly use youtube, and that obviously works fine.

I still don't see the point of them. The Windows desktop still isn't optimized for touch screens. To me they're great if you're using metro apps but for a full desktop experience you still need a keyboard and mouse for any type of productivity.

Well that good as I said I have nothing against iOS or android tabs. I got a nexus 10. I download a lot of movies and they come in all kids of formats. Instead of having multiple apps to try and play the movies, on windows just install a codec pack and WMP will play back anything. Oh and the multitasking of windows cant be beat.

If I get tablet, I want a custom experience, i dont want a full Os....what for? especially if i already have a laptop. Its pointless.
Now windows 8 on a touchscreen LAPTOP....thats probably where it shines, otherwise its a waste of time and money., and dont they have well designed apps to let you remote to your pc on those things anyway?

No matter how hard microsoft tries they cant force win8 down peoples throats. I can't even see the casual appeal, who just browse and check email...

MX player gets the job done friend. Secondly, why waste space and download media wise anymore? xbmc and other apps allow for incredbible hd streaming, whats the point of storing these things on your hard drive?

That the point you dont get. Why be limited? If you want a simple tab setup you still have metro apps. If this was Win 7 I would agree with you.

Multiple apps?, MX player gets the job done friend.

Mx is good but still has issues with some formats.
