Just chilling, Lord willing.

Yeah Clive was the original Diddy back in the late 60s and 70s paying artist with incentives and not cash like drugs and etc.

They even took him to Court and stuff.

Yeah that was a very big deal in the 70s but he’s backed by the most powerful people in the world so it was conveniently erased from public consciousness once the 80s hit.

Yep.

Those circles say a favor is more powerful than a dollar I guess when you start getting caught doing debauchery things those favors become priceless. :wow:

He killed Janis Joplin, Phillis Hyman, and Whitney Houston and they throw rose pedals at his feet.

Dirty game brother.

Above the fray.
Its youth music. If you think its dead, likely that you are ageing out of the target demographic .

I came to terms with that a long time ago. Luckily, there are tons of albums, songs, and film soundtracks from my era that I still havent heard, and therefore plenty of "new" music that would appeal to my ears.

You right about that I would also add it is energetic music, it increases your pulses its rarely laid back drift away soothing sounds. The older you get you move closer to chill and peace but hiphop is still there for your energy levels. That new Lil Baby - Dum Dumb Dumber is my fav joint so far this year and I am sure I could be that boys father.

So I haven't become too irrational it is just the output is well well below quality right now, and we are finding out some of the culprits lol.

You’re blaming the black artists (excluding Eminem and Drake) for the reason why “hip hop is dead”?

Who benefits the most from it? They are the reason why “hip hop is dead”.

They the reason why music sounds so soulless because they themselves don’t have a soul.

Ever wonder why white artists always have these so called “happy” songs on the radio, while the black artists always have the destructive music on the radio? They don’t want black people feeling good about themselves.

I don’t blame the artists. I blame the white music executives. They the reason why mainstream hip hop is the way it is now. Plus they take life insurance policies out on these rappers so when they get killed, they get the most profits from it. They a bunch of greedy mothafukkas, but we allowed this to go on to fester into a bigger mess.

Big Facts.

We spoke about this and I especially know how true the AR and execs situation is. There was a photo online released not too long ago all the new hiphop execs and ARs and a brunch do and they were all white. Bringing us Sexxy Redd and co.

Diddy - was responsible for the death of two of the biggest rappers in the world and made non rappers rapping popular personally ruined a lot of careers and just generally a demonic presence in the industry.

Soulja boi - allowed any trash rapper to get in the game with ringtone rap

Drake - merged hip hop and pop into one whilst also being overrated by casuals as the best rapper alive despite ghostwriting and having mid lyricism and dull subject matter compared to the GOATs.
Also made streaming more important than physical album sales

I think the Neptunes started this. Pharell was selling the culture out and making it very accessible for a bag. ie. Britney, Justin, Furtado, Robin Thicke, etc.

I agree though. Soulja Boi is ultra-trash!
