Instead of having a child you know you can't take care of, how about you get your life together first and then plan on having a child? He ain't saying you need to be rich. But you need to be able to afford the necessities and luxuries to your child that they may want growing up.

I have a lot of people on ignore, so can't see who/what comment you're replying to.
Don't see why anybody brought up the continent, though. The social programs and safety nets that exist in the West, DO NOT EXIST in developing countries. People are pretty much on their own in many regards.

Having children when you are poor is a bad decision, and there is (little) no bail out plan or govt. assistance/subsidy if you're in a region or country that is underdeveloped economically.

Im of two minds. People should be able to live life and do them…but then the kids have zero say and for all the folks saying they came out, many more are stuck in poverty and will eventually pass it on to their kids.

The fact is, the people more likely to share Thugs views are educated and see a longer term view that kids will complicate if they come too soon. I lean toward what Thug says because cats are breeding with this misguided sense of a savior being born among them. This is also an argument folks use against abortion, effectively backing forced birth. The smart play is to get something going for yourself so your not a poor and prospect-less parent having poor and prospect-less kids. It is an absolute fact that more often than not, those kids will be more like their parents then they will be the exceptions.
