Invest in a good cookbook ( I would suggest some of the OG ones and not these new age quinoa+kale cookbooks)

Im tired of eating tv dinners, I think its time to evolve into a chief.

I need meal suggestions and tips on cooking, ill be going grocery shopping today but I refuse to buy frozen dinners of any sort
It's spelled chef, not chief.

What's the best cookbook to get? I like everything from chicken to lasagna, baked ziti, pork chops, burgers, etc. I like soul food even though its not all good for you. I want to eat healthy but i still want that flavor. Another issue i have is that i'll see a recipe but i dont have all the ingredients. What ingredients must i always have besides butter, oil, sugar, flour?

Honestly. I've never opened a cookbook. Everything you need can be found online. I just went to Pinterest and typed up Soul Food and below recipes appeared.
