Didn't have a cell phone til 04 ish and it was a hand me down brick Nokia, and I was mad late on the internet. I had something called WebTV my pops got from his boss in like 2001 but that was some bullshyt. I didn't have a computer with real internet til late 2002, so when I saw what all my friends had been talking about all that time I was blown away. I was writing my papers in middle school on one of these joints my aunt passed down to us.

my brother used to get in trouble so much for people callin late night, that i had to start taking the phone off the hook and taking the spiral cord out of the phone so people can’t call in. leavin it like that all night
we never had our own phone lines growing up. whoever did y’all was winnin.

Getting a job at the grocery store at 15 so I can have my own phone line. No more moms cockblocking my macking by picking up the phone. :blessed:

Around the time I got my first job, the Dreamcast came out. Since I had my own phone line, I could play Phantasy Star Online as long as I wanted with no interruptions :blessed:

I miss the 90's and early 2000's :mjcry:

i think that’s great

but is it worth giving up all of your info? you don’t find that a lil creepy? that’s all i’m sayin. just because we like phones it doesn’t mean we shouldn’t atleast question things. i find it alarming that you don’t have a problem with living in a world like that. where all you can remember is your fukkin phone.
we remember our phones because it's an important tool for day to day life, like communication, emails, checking accounts, paying bills etc. it's like a digital wallet.

as for info, that has nothing to do with the phone itself, and more to do with your govt and the worldwide web. with a bit of research however, you can learn to protect yourself from cookies, and outside intruders. people should learn the basics anyways.

yeah i just say phone meaning device

it will be some futuristic shyt by then

and you can protect all you want but you’re still putting info into Google for example. like phone number. or on other sites maybe address. or maybe more.

it’s still going to some place. to be documented. you really don’t mind everybody being documented? why is that anybody’s business? i like information too. but where is all of this going....

So Cal
i made this thread because i was once told that smartphones are the mark of the beast. maybe there will be a day when 98% of the planet has smartphones. by that time they will be “too-smartphones.” and people either start rejecting them or just give in and accept having your life monitored forever. your face & fingerprints and data and personal info all being in some world system. it’s so demonic friends.

Breh, this been happened people for the most part are weak minded sheep living in the dark in fear of any enlightenment
