yall should protest against colleges scamming people. Some people think that higher education is some big, mythical thing that no one should question their methods :leostare: . I'd say that you gotta put pressure on them and tell them to drastically lower their tuition.

can't even argue against this.

A lot of these schools don't even have the students best interests at heart. It's all a business and yeah I think that colleges NEED to lower their tuition.

But at the same time we should do as much WE can do to lower the cost of our own individual education.
Like I said if you can get scholarships, grants, a part time job, that should help at least a lil bit.

And if you didn't get the grades in school, didn't do any activities
or anything you can always start at a CC and get a part time job and financial aid to help with the cost of school.

a generation ago, the concept of going to college wasn't looked upon all people. Now since the economy got fukked, everyone and their moms are going back to school and pressuring people to pay hyper-inflated tuition fees. Those poverty black folk that you talked about, may have not planned on going to college back then, but they thinking about it now.

Its a scam. A Scam!

A generation ago it was very posible to make a good living without going to college. My dad didn't go to college, yet he retired and making more than plenty of people with college degrees.

Now college is a must.

Of course they have not failed as a parent, it is not realistic for everyone to have the means to completely pay for their child education. However, it is just plain irresponsible to not have something set aside for your child's future to get them started off on the right foot financially.
