If you can't drive a stick shift you might as well commit that

Upping a decade old thread, but I just learned how to drive manual the other day. :wow:

Was stalling like crazy from standing starts in the beginning, but once you find the bite point consistently it gets pretty easy. I've been wanting to learn so I can buy a classic VW.

What year vw and why vw? I know them 80s joints are bullet proof

A 1960s Type 1 Bug. When I went to San Diego for the first time I saw so many clean, California-style bugs and knew I wanted one after that.

The air-cooled engines are easy to work on and not as difficult to rebuild as other engines. I've wanted to dabble in engine building one day but you need all kinds of lifts and shyt to work on normal sized engines. You can pull out a VW engine with just a regular jack and tear it down on the floor if you want.

breh what? m2's gonna be a future classic, you got the m3/m4, 911, 718, blackwing, challenger, gt86, miata, civic, corolla, there's probably a dozen more...
Don't want none of the cars you listed. Either can't afford them or not interested. The M3/M4/Blackwing get my interest, but out of my price range

I want a 2012-2015 ZL1
