He said that in reply to Satan telling him he should do something to make God save his flesh,
that's why he said not to put God to the test - he wasn't talking about himself.

who is being put to test here , is it not Jesus Christ?
in Genesis1:2 “And the earth was without
form, and void; and darkness
was upon the face of the deep.
And the Spirit of God moved
upon the face of the waters."

now why didn't it just say and God moved upon the face of the waters? this is the bible trying to tell us that God is three but ONE if not he wonldnt have said what he said in Gen1:26....
In Genesis1:26 it says " And God said, Let
us make
man in
our image, after
our
likeness" Now don't even come in here saying that God asking help from the Angels he created to help him and create man when he just when he created the universe by the words of his mouth....wait a minute The
WORD

The
WORD was made
FLESH
in john1:1-4 In the beginning was the
Word, and the
Word was with
God,
and the Word was God.
He was with God in the beginning.
Through him all things were made;
without
him nothing was made that has been made[/b[.
In him was life, and that life was the light of
all mankind. Here the bible talks about Jesus Christ the word that was made flesh.
John1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt
among us.......
John12:32 And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will
draw all men unto me
why didn't he say i will draw all men unto God
In Matthew 12:30-32 He that is not with me is against me; and
he that gathereth not with me scattereth
abroad.
Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin
and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men:
but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost
shall not be forgiven unto men.
And whosoever speaketh a word against
the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but
whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it
shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world,
neither in the world to come. Here Jesus talk about him and the Holy spirit being God thereby having power over sin and Jesus states he can forgive all that is done against him but the Holy Spirit will not forgive the one done against him(now isn't it some to think about) and i think it is that part of the bible that every true Christian should know about.
in John 14:7-14 If ye had known me, ye should have known
my Father also: and from henceforth ye know
him, and have seen him.
Philip saith unto him, Lord, show us the
Father, and it sufficeth us.
Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long
time with you, and yet hast thou not known
me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen
the Father; and how sayest thou then, Show
us the Father?
Believest thou not that I am in the Father,
and the Father in me? the words that I speak
unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father
that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.
Believe me that I am in the Father, and the
Father in me: or else believe me for the very
works' sake.
Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that
believeth on me, the works that I do shall he
do also; and greater works than these shall he
do; because I go unto my Father.
And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name,
that will I do, that the Father may be glorified
in the Son.
If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will
do it.
in my name
