I’d go with Lakeith Stanfield as cash (just to do something different) and based on what he did in overlord, Wyatt Russell as Tango lol. I think he can play straight laced pretty well and lakeith can play the slightly unhinged guy who doesn’t really care much for the rules.

I think there was talk a while ago of trying to do that. If I did it, I’d make it a love letter to the 80s the way the original is a love letter to the 50s.

They were working on a blob remake. The 89 one is my favorite but the studio sent out feelers to directors. One of them is a huge fan of the 89 blob. And he didn’t get the job. Simon west did. He of con air fame. But I think it’s in limbo.
