In Senate cloakrooms and staff meetings, Johnson was practically a connoisseur of the word. According to Johnson biographer Robert Caro, Johnson would calibrate his pronunciations by region, using "nigra" with some southern legislators and "negra" with others. Discussing civil rights legislation with men like Mississippi Democrat James Eastland, who committed most of his life to defending white supremacy, he'd simply call it "the ****** bill."

Then in 1957, Johnson would help get the "****** bill" passed, known to most as the Civil Rights Act of 1957. With the 1964 Civil Rights Act and the 1965 Voting Rights Act, the segregationists would go to their graves knowing the cause they'd given their lives to had been betrayed, Frank Underwood style, by a man they believed to be one of their own. When Caro asked segregationist Georgia Democrat Herman Talmadge how he felt when Johnson, signing the Civil Rights Act, said "we shall overcome," Talmadge said "sick."

LBJ threw jim crow in the bushes for good, passing the voting rights act and Fair Housing Act when they were unpopular policies. Also the war on poverty programs he implemented including Medicare and Medicaid reduced Black poverty to their lowest point ever in the ensuing years after he left office.

He has the best record on Black issues honestly of any American president in history. I think we can say with certainty that every US president at least up to 1968 has said ******, but not everyone of them ended jim crow, passed the VRA, the FHA, tangibly reduced Black poverty and wielded political muscle, going against his own party to do so.

So ignorant uninformed MAGA agent, why did you REALLY list LBJ as a top 3 US politician you would want to fight over 3 centuries worth of hundreds of KKK members and violent, virulent anti-Black racists?
