In general, typical americans think everywhere in the world is racist and scary. But it's not just americans but PEOPLE around the world tend to ignorantly associate random isolated acts to an entire country as if it happens there every day.Strange, I always thought Paris was considered to be quite racist?
I've only been once, I'm going bsck in February for 1 night, that Eurostar £59 return life![]()
- I have friends who live abroad who think black teenagers get killed like Trayvon Martin on a weekly basis. THey are always asking me if me and my family are okay because they think everyone in America has guns. I can t blame them... I felt the same way when i first moved here

- Others think living in America is like a oarty every day like they see in the music videos with champagne pouring everywhere
- I have a friend who is from Denmark. He went back home a few months ago and his friends asked him if he was in a gang, yet.

- This american chick once asked me how come i'm haitian and dont know much about voodoo

Perception tends to be taken as reality when it comes ignorant people interpreting what they see in the news as everyday life. Thats why i think not everyone should have access to news and information because these fukkwads will see what they wanna see to reinforce their ignorant perceptions of other groups

nikka you ain't special
whats that? I was mostly going for the beef specials, you know the one where you go to the restaurant and you have a sign with green and red, and if you want them to keep coming around you have green displayed. I ate there just about every day (when the women weren't cooking for us) and mcdonalds once (I go to at least one mcdonalds to check out the region menu, its just something I do). The most unique thing I ate....was chicken heart. It wasn't bad, it was aite, but not something I would eat every day.
Like they're professional, formal, but at the same time not formal, its hard to explain you know what Im talking about. Its a country where there is no such thing as uptight.
One of those funny moments of cultural disconnect, she thought the idea of salt and butter was weird and I thought Ketchup on popcorn was gross. I stayed eating acaraje and I'm not even that big on seafood but I love those joints. Her mom could make that and moqueca so I was
good, just thinking about the food makes me
