When Gemma tells Nero what really happened to JT he was having an affair with Maureen in Ireland had a kid didn't tell anyone. His youngest son is dying and he's in Ireland with his new family, the feds have infiltrated clubs and there's a war going on with the Mayans and instead of him being a leader and doing something about it he's writing love letters to Maureen.

I can't blame Gemma and Clay from that standpoint JT was foul leaving Gemma to deal with a sick son he knew he was wrong and basically pushed Gemma into Clay so he knew he was going to be killed 2 ways either by ambush or mechanical.
