1) Cosmology- Focus on the "macro". This involves inter space travel, finding habitable planets, etc..

2) Sub-Atomic - Study and full understanding of Quarks, Strings, Electrons, etc..

3) Human Psyche/Neuroscience - Study of human conscious, cognition, emotions, memories, behavioral patterns, etc..

4) Underwater - Exploring the rest of the Oceans, Rifts, Life Systems,...

I'm curious about external life and the cosmos. It would be pretty dope to travel out of the supercluster and see all the planets,moons,stars,asteroids, belts, supernovas etc....

but at the same time I wonder about the logic that goes through some peoples head....

Especially, wealthy people and extreme conservatives(bible belt)

1 & 2 are different sides of the same coin I suppose. We need a unified theory that ties the macro (theory of relativity) and subatomic theories together.

We have to accelerate getting into space, I think Earth maybe 500-1000 years from being downright uninhabitable. At least to the point where we will need special instruments to navigate it's surface. It's the most expensive of these things but this needs to be a joint effort between us and our allies.

Not really. Who knows how far tech could progress in 500 years. Also even if we only get a few million people, it would be a great achievement. We could repopulate any terraformed planet.

One. Space travel opens the possibility of traveling to other worlds and possibly meeting other intelligent species. It would be nice if there was an exchange of knowledge that would allow the other choices to become naturally intuitive.

This is out of my depth but I want to contribute anyways.

I have to go with 2. Being able to manipulate atoms to a level that no one could ever fathom and being able to make tangible the intangible would basically let us control God. Knowing how to harness matter and make it do whatever we want would make us the most powerful beings in the universe.
