When I was studying Advertising, the joke I always made is if you really want to sell something..make a product that a middle aged white woman would buy. You'll be rich.

I wish there was way I could just pay them the money straight and bypass the middle man.
Just like you want to get paid for your efforts in what you do, they deserve the same. People use that cac mentality with music artists and athletes like "they get paid money already" what the fukk does that have to do with you personally and their product that you're using.

Most folks simply have no clue when albums even come out anymore.

That shyt's been going on forever, the term 360 deal may not have existed but artists have been getting raped by their labels for as long as the music industry has existed. The reason is matters it to build the artists' clout and fanbase, get the label behind them more, so they can get a bigger budget for their future projects and do more shows cause that's where the real money is at. Of course that only matters if people actually like that artist enough that they want them to continue to make music, cause it's not cheap to produce an album, let alone marketing it and all that shyt, it takes a certain kind of person to keep spending their own money to make music solely for the love of it. Who knows how many great artists never realized their potential cause they weren't given the opportunity to blossom cause of weak sales out the gate.
