I remember when Mark Jackson said Stephen Curry was going to ruin pickup basketball and the young guys and this site shytted on him for being the saltiest guy ever since he was fired as coach... then I open this thread.

Well, theres this factor that here in brazil lots of pickup games be on 3-2 or 2-1-2 defense wich allows more post plays. But even like that. Shyt be really way out of hand than I tought

I HATE when on some pickup game. EVERYONE stay away from the paint like it's an AND1 game. Even thought the defense be on zone/everyone be on the paint.

and I go myself on the paint and start asking for the ball. I mean goddamit.
Worst is when there are taller guys on my team, and all trying to be the PG and do crossovers like Allen Iverson.

I started playing because of the streetball hype basically
I remember those days where the thing was to try to do Hot Sauce moves for like 3 minutes before passing the ball.
And the playground where I played had some hours (early in the morning) to play "streetball" (and1 style), and then in the afternoon it was regular ball lol.
The hype when someone fell for the boomerang move, or some combo like between the legs+ball to the head. You had dudes throwing the ball to the crowd just like Sauce.
Thing is, there was no crowd
