honest to god truth...i heard this talk of "Steph curry is changing the pick up ball game"....i wasnt really playing when they were saying it. I went to an LA fitness around my place...got into a game...i swear on everything I was playing with highschool kids, and they were pulling up from 6 feet behind the 3. I couldnt fukking believe it

There are certain times I go to the court and watch in awe as all five players on the squad stand around the 3 point line and never set foot inside of it. It's really a sight to see. I feel like I'm watching a discovery channel documentary about the first stages of the demise of basketball.

In a pickup game when this happens I rebound the ball, take it back to the 3pt line and pull up right there.

In rec leagues when this happens I just rebound and take the ball up the court(ignore the guard calling for it) myself. I'm the point guard now, Greek freak style

Never happened in school ball though, coaches wasn't letting that happen

I remember playing during the "Above The Rim" era (yeh I'm ancient, playing days long over) And believe me, cats back then would knuckle up for much less. The only way to get respect back then was to be a beast off the boards and FINISH with AUTHORITY. Cats was too in love with playing uptempo and gettin easy layups/dunks to ever waste time shootin 3's. NBA was so hypy back then had nikkaz turnt up playing pick up ball, yes you could get also get shot .

I've played with so many nikkas that took hoops too seriously, even calling weak fouls was an invitation to get your dome cracked, but mostly if you couldn't play either you could never get a down, or nikkas would just dog your skills relentlessy for sport.

I can't even imagine nikkas being free to chuck up brick after brick and neglect the big man, that kinda shyt have you WATCHIN us play all day till you finally get a squad on the court but all the good players have quit

I was in the gym Sunday night..
We were shooting around before the game started and I felt like I was dodging grenades..kids shooting from 35 feet out balls flying all over the place pause

And 1 era was THE WORST. Easily.
I still remember backpedaling on defense..3 on 1.
This kid stopped at the three point line and tried to dribble the ball under his shirt
