There are ways to keep it real without being disrespectful. Most people don't go out there way to neg others unless they deserve it.
I got negged for threads countering the idea that mixed (black/white) people gravitate towards whites and promote race mixing/diluting blacks when that isn't true and there are many examples of mixed people dating blacks or preferring blacks as partners.
I also got negged for my gripes with some black businesses and I got called a c00n because I had negative experiences w/ some black owned businesses and they assumed I go to white owned businesses (which isn't true).

If you hang out with race/gender bait threads a lot and are outspoken about any topic you're gonna get dinged a few times I stopped caring after the first 100. What it means you got someone so up in their feelings that they had to express it to you in some way because this interaction isn't face to face.
