Actually i had the same question because its easy to block ads on PC and my phone. But i mainly use youtube on my PS5 and my Smart Tv's.
I could always airplay from my phone, but its not really worth the extra effort imo

I don't use cable anymore, but commercials were always the main thing that sort of time stamps your experience.
Sort of keeps me in the present, Like if you show me a classic 90s commercial i will get a sense of nostalgia and remember what was going on back when i first saw it.

I wouldn't go as far to say i would miss it if it was gone because it does eventually get repetitive. but i wouldn't pay extra money just to see it go.

This. Also, I don’t mind because the flexibility it gives us. They’re not like classic commercials. Where you have a fixed time limit to take a break or re engage the content. You can wait 5-20 secs and get back to it, or let it play out or even pause it if need be.

yeah it's account based, so you just login to your account and you'll be ad-free.


I pay for it cause i use the family plan for my pops, etc.

I can't be bothered to sideload whatever shyt for his smartTV, phone or configure a pi-hole etc, when I'm well aware those options exist.

Rather just cop prem and forget about it.

I did have the turkey plan where it was cheap as fukk, but google banhammered me on that

I use ublock origin, but I like watching youtube on my tv, so it's more convenient to pay for it. plus I got the family plan thru algeria and let my kids use it for like $11 a month.
