You níggas do realize that YouTube Premium gives you access to free movies and podcasts, the ability to download videos, and being able to play videos in the background as well as the ad-free part of it, right (だよね)?
Premium gives you a ton of bang for your buck for only $10.
no doubt it's valuable to a lot of non-technical users but to those of us who don't frequent youtube for free movies, we can get the remaining functionality for free.
the only issue i had recently is that youtube got agressive with stopping users from downloading videos that required verification so i couldn't use yt-dlp for it and had to login in order to view a video and download it.

The only subscription I pay for is Apple Music. I pirate everything else. Why? Because I don’t use it enough. I use Apple Music every day so I’m getting my money’s worth. I’m getting value. Why would I pay for YouTube when I don’t use it every day? I get the same content on TikTok or instagram most of the time.
