I wouldn't say "losing" but we should all aspire for more, always. Even when I meet a goal I still keep trying to surpass it and usually do. The grind doesn't stop til you're 6 feet under. Automatic responses of "nikka you crazy, hardly anybody's making that etc", show that a lot of ppl limit themselves without realizing it. OP said self employed anyway, if you're not self employed it doesn't even apply to you
Bumping a thread from 2015 now breh:beli:

if your situation is anything less than 10k a month self employed, you're not shyt. if you think you're doing good you're lying to yourself.

and no i'm not at that point myself, but i'm not gonna play myself. I know i'm losing and won't consider nothing but at least 10k a month from my OWN shyt to be anything but LOSING.

if you have a job then it has to be something like 2-3 times 10k a month, but that's just my opini

edit: if you're not making that kind of money or ACTIVELY Working towards it, it's cause you're SHOOK of life.

it's like that scene in Juice. Tupac can't respect his dad cause he's a coward from life. having a decent job isn't enough.

I know this is a old thread but this is the bullshyt that kind of piss me off about some of these clowns on the coli. If you're self employed and able to pay your bills and have a some left over then that's a win. Why the fukk would you assign some arbitrary dollar amount when it's all situational?
When I started my goal was simply to replace the salary that I would lose from not being an employee.

People who be saying that shyt don't have a real entrepreneurial mindset, they just want to be able to chalk up some arbitrary figure, multiply it by 12 and then find something that made someone 100k+/year somewhere and saying, "yeah, I think that's what I'm gonna to do:ld:"

But the reality is first you gotta start by trying to make $5/day. Then $10/day. Then after a bunch of work you might break even on your bills. Then if you're lucky you could replace the salary of a full time salaried employee. Then if you're really lucky you might make more than that. And if you're really really lucky you might get to the point where you can hire people and still clear more..etc. I never expect a dollar figure, just aim to make more.
