Humans are odd. We're designed to procreate for continuity of our species. But some people find children repulsive. It's unnatural to me, for real, I find not wanting kids odder than not eating meat of being vegan. Lol I've been in all three positions. Dating when you want to fall in love and have kids is much riskier. You put real stock into relationships. It's very draining. So I understand wanting a low stress life and having more resources available for one's self, though finding kids repulsive is damn near demonic to me.
