I was just wondering how it is to drive in other metro areas (or really any area)

Here in DC, people are rude and they typically suck at driving. Like no manners at all. I lived in NYC (Queens) for about 6 years and drove in that city. While there was congestion, I was stuck in stand still traffic for 3 hours once, it moved fairly well...

In the DMV people act like it's a race ALL THE DAMN TIME...You try to merge into traffic, you got some lame not trying to let you in. At an intersection, people will "block the box" and make it so you can't go straight because they wanted to inch up and be the last car waiting at the red light but gives no "effs" about half his/her car in the box blocking you at the now green light...

Or the cat who will damn near wreck their car just so you CAN'T get into their lane/side. I mean, I make this thread to vent (just had a crazy time driving our fleet vehicle) I try to be as nice as possible when I drive (let people over/merge, give the right of way, etc...I'm just blowing steam, but I'm also kind of curious if the rest of the country drives like this or is this strictly a DMV problem...

I know there's road rage everywhere, but do you all have THIS MANY selfish drivers where you live?

Damn, thats a hell of a commute (many make it, I know)

But are the drivers rude/mean/selfish? Do they let you in when you need to get in their lane? Are they racing you trying to "stay in front of you?"

Are you constantly getting angry in the car when you drive b/c of how other nikkas drive?

people rush to get in front of you in the left lane then slow down.

there is no excuse to be in a car in the left lane and going slower than the trucks to the right of you.

i'm getting angry now just thinking about getting home tonight

Tell me about it, I go visit my boy in NC quite frequently and I LOVE driving down there...I miss it something serious...when he tells me about "traffic jams" I was trippin, when I saw them for myself I laughed and told him he wouldn't cut it up here in DMV


I used to live in Anderson SC for about 10 years so while I didn't drive then, I do remember how traffic was and there was little to none

I've seen all that in south Florida, plus seniors, tourists, and immigrants that drive 45 on the interstates.

people rush to get in front of you in the left lane then slow down.

there is no excuse to be in a car in the left lane and going slower than the trucks to the right of you.

We drive on "The Beltway" (I-495) and I tell you, I see nikkas in get in that left lane and have EVERYBODY behind them start putting blinkers on to get into another lane...Can't stand that. Left lane is passers and speeders only.

Or nikkas that won't let you get over to the right to get off the exit and you mess around and miss it or damn near cause an accident trying to get over to get off all because this prick wants to play Forza on the damn highway

I've seen people speeding in the merge lane during rush hour and then riding on the shoulder. And it was raining. I'm like motherfukker are you insane. Calm down and merge like a normal person. It's not that serious.

yeah breh, there is all that going on, and i get on the road at 545am and the traffic has already started. it's awful.

Shoot I was in Pompano Beach a few months back and was excited to see
1. so many damn exotic cars just being driven so damn slow ('Rarris and a damn Aventador driven like gramps was behind the wheel)
2. How fast you nikkas drive on the highway (i forget what I was on, but I was going to Ft. Lauderdale) I was going 80 (so I don't get pulled over and killed by police, i mean we in FLA )
