I tried to order a subscription. Sent my money in through the mail through money order.

I made sure I wrote everything right even asked my parents to check.

Never got my subscription.

Was mad as hell.

Gamefan had the best layout out of all the gaming magazines. It's still the best even compared to today's gaming magazines. The fukking art directors were really on to something. From wikipedia: "Another major feature that separated GameFan from other gaming magazines was the high quality paper it was printed on. Gamefan’s game screen shots were the most colorful and faithfully resembled the game graphics."

Found the staff list:

Hardcore Gaming 101: History of Diehard GameFAN Magazine

Two Asians.

Mike Wakamatsu (Waka) - PC game player and full-time layabout. I think he's been unemployed longer than anyone I've ever known and it's probably the biggest travesty there is, because he's a talented graphic designer and some of the most memorable page layouts in GameFan were his work. Posts here once in a great while, but we stay in touch and hang out now and then.

Kim Tran - Another talented layout designer, but I haven't heard anything about his whereabouts or projects at all. I know he'd been thinking about graphic design school, don't know if he pursued it though.

I'm a fan of these mothafukkas and only just now learning their names. Unsung heroes...

and for old time sake
th
I know for a fact I put in over 100+ hours leveling up and battling friends when this came out. this was like crack for kids:wow:

Playstation underground
Game pro (TV show)
Super Mario cartoon

Gaming was great back then and I've published time and time again that the fact that the average age of a gamer is increasing is NOT healthy for the traditional gaming industry.

What makes you say this?

Here in the Caribbean videogame magazines were a rare thing. Now and then one or two would pop up at school. Everyone would run for their excercise books to write out the 'codes'. When the Mortal Kombat strategy guide dropped! :whoo:

Anybody remember this shyt? When you have PS1, Sega Saturn disc and you're very care and very concerned about your video game disc that might not be worked cause of the scratch and you thought this might be fixed your issue like this one?.. I think it was released in 2000, late 90s.
