In England we have these shop chains called 'farmfoods' and if you're family's on benefits you get these milk vouchers from the council.
One time my mum sends me to get 2 gallons of milk with the vouchers and no money and when I get to the till I see a one of my boys in the line.
I ended up faking a phone call from my mum and pretended I never saw him and left the shop without the milk in the most akward fashion imaginable

Me and my siblings grew up with a single mom who struggled but always made the most out of what we had.
I remember Christmas she would buy a little tree and sit it on the table then buy me and my sisters little $1.00 barbies JUST so we could have something to open on christmas. We all slept in one bed but I swear she made it feel like we were in a palace.

grew up on second hand clothes and hand me down from my sibling and hardly no presents for birthday cant even remember the last proper present i received for my birthday even for my one this year i only got some boxers
